Chalazion
It is the chronic inflammation of Meibomius glands (small gland on the eyelid lip, next to the eyelashes). It probably originates as a result of chronic irritation by microorganisms with low toxicity. The gland expands growing in size gradually and without inflammatory symptoms. Complete automatic chalazion absorption is rare.
Treatment: hot compresses, local or systemic antibiotics in advanced stages. Moreover, surgical cutting and clearing of the mass is recommended with simultaneous removal of its capsule to avoid its reappearance.
