Dr. Christoforos Stylianides was born in Limassol. He graduated from Laniteio A’ Lyceum. After completing his military duties, he entered the Medicine School of Aristotelio University in Thessaloniki, in 2002, from where he graduated in 2008. He then moved to Germany, where he specialized in Ophthalmology at the 3rd Grade hospital Dietrich Bonhoeffer Klinikum Neubrandenburg, department of the Greifswald university. That hospital covers a wider region of the small state of Meclenburg/west Pomerania. Since 2015 he was the Tutor and Department responsible of the Ophthalmological clinic, until he settled in Limassol.
His clinical experience covers the whole Ophthalmology spectrum with a majority of cases of anterior and posterior eye and with specialty in Cataract Microsurgery (MICS), Glaucoma Microsurgery (MIGS), Lacrimal way diseases and Intravitreal injections. Moreover, he has participated in the conduct of worldwide clinical studies and he is a candidate Medicine Instructor at the Homburg University in Saarland of Germany. The doctor has mentoring experience in training of nurses and newly specialized doctors, as well as rich writing job. As a tutor he had the diligence and responsibility for the coordination of the regional ophthalmology conference.
The doctor is married to the oncologist-hematologist dr.Maria Vergoulidou – Stylianide and the have two children.
